3 killed, 8 injured in mass shooting at restaurant in New York City

Three people were killed and eight others were wounded when several gunmen opened fire inside a restaurant in Crown Heights early Sunday morning, according to a report in The New York Times.

The shooting happened just before 3:30 am inside Taste of the City Lounge at 903 Franklin Avenue, NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said.

The people who died were three men, ages 27 and 35, and one whose age was not known. The eight injured people were taken to local hospitals. Police did not give updates on their conditions.
