Donald Trump endorses Vivek Ramaswamy in Ohio Governor race: He won’t let you down

United States President Donald Trump has formally endorsed entrepreneur and former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy in the Ohio Governor’s race, calling him “something special” and “a very good person who truly loves our country”.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump praised Ramaswamy’s intelligence, strength, and commitment to conservative values.

Vivek Ramaswamy is running for Governor of the Great State of Ohio, a place I love and won big three times, in 2016, 2020, and 2024. I know Vivek well, competed against him, and he is something SPECIAL. He is Young, Strong, and Smart,” Trump wrote.

Furthermore, the President listed a series of priorities he said Ramaswamy would champion if elected, from cutting taxes and promoting “Made in the USA” manufacturing, to securing the border and defending the Second Amendment.

“Vivek Ramaswamy will be a GREAT Governor of Ohio, and has my Complete and Total Endorsement – HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!,” Trump added.

The President’s endorsement came just hours after Ohio voters went to the polls to choose a new governor and other statewide officeholders for the 2026 elections, with all incumbents barred by term limits.

Ramaswamy, 39, is a biotech entrepreneur and author known for his outspoken conservative positions and his 2024 Republican presidential bid, during which he aligned himself closely with Trump. He has also co-led the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) alongside Elon Musk.
