US President Donald Trump calls Harvard a ‘disgrace’ amid backlash over federal funding cut

US President Donald Trump has intensified his criticism of Harvard University, calling the Ivy League institution a “disgrace” just a day after labelling it a “joke”. The sharp rebuke came amid a growing standoff between the Trump administration and Harvard, with the White House threatening to revoke the university’s ability to host international students and freezing approximately USD 2.3 billion in federal funding.

“They’re obviously anti-Semitic, and all of a sudden they’re starting to behave,” Trump told reporters on Thursday. “I think Harvard is a disgrace,” he added.
