Chicago nightclub shooting leaves 3 dead, 16 wounded

A mass shooting incident outside a nightclub in Chicago in the United States left three dead and 16 others injured, AP reported. Police said multiple people were shot at in a drive-by shooting.

The incident took place outside the Artis Lounge nightclub as people were exiting the venue after an album release party for rapper Mello Buckzz, the Associated Press reported, citing police.

A widely circulated video on social media shows a person filming from a moving car when several gunshots are heard in the distance.

The same location, a high-end dining and nightlife destination, was the scene of another mass shooting in November 2022. Then, the nightclub was known as Hush Lounge. One person was killed, and three others were wounded in the shooting incident.

Police shut down the nightclub after that shooting. Artis Lounge later opened in the same location.
