Hasina Verdict a ‘Sham Trial’: Former Bangladesh Minister Mohibul Chaudhary Slams Tribunal.

On this Special Report, former Bangladesh Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chaudhary addresses the death sentence verdict against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina by the country’s International Crimes Tribunal. Chaudhary condemns the proceedings as a one-sided and illegal ‘sham trial’ conducted by an unconstitutional interim government to prevent Sheikh Hasina from participating in future elections. He states, ‘It was a completely a sham trial in an illegal court by a group of people who simply wants to take revenge for the trials of their leaders who were collaborators of 1971.’ Chaudhary asserts that the Awami League was denied legal representation and that the party will not recognize the verdict, instead focusing on ousting the current regime and boycotting any election it holds.
