Israel announces tactical pause in 3 Gaza areas amid worsening humanitarian crisis

The Israeli military on Sunday announced that it will implement daily pauses in military operations across three areas in Gaza to support humanitarian relief efforts, as per a Reuters report.

According to the announcement, military activity will be suspended daily from 10 am to 8 pm local time in Al-Mawasi, Deir al-Balah and Gaza City. The pause will remain in effect until further notice.

Additionally, the military stated that designated secure routes will remain open from 6 am to 11 pm each day to facilitate the movement of aid and civilians starting July 27.

“The decision was coordinated with the UN and international organisations following discussions on the matter,” it added.

“The IDF will continue to support humanitarian efforts alongside ongoing maneuvering and offensive operations against terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip, in order to protect Israeli civilians. The IDF is prepared to expand the scale of this activity as required,” the army added.
