Ukraine’s ex-Parliament speaker killed in ‘horrendous murder,’ says Zelenskyy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Saturday confirmed the killing of former parliamentary speaker Andriy Parubiy in Lviv, calling it a “horrendous murder.”

He said Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko and Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko had reported the first details of the incident.

“My condolences to his family and loved ones,” Zelenskyy said in a statement on X, adding that “all necessary forces and means are engaged in the investigation and search for the killer.”

Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances of Parubiy’s death.
