Massive earthquake hits Myanmar, tremors felt in Bangkok

A powerful earthquake originating in Myanmar caused tremors in Bangkok, resulting in building collapses and widespread panic. At least 42 people are reportedly trapped in a collapsed 34-storey under-construction building in Chatuchak area. One fatality has been confirmed due to a crane collapse. Public transportation, including the SkyTrain, has been suspended, and the stock exchange halted trading. The Thai Prime Minister has declared Bangkok a disaster zone.
