Nepal unrest: Gen Z leader Sudan Gurung breaks down as he addresses media

Sudan Gurung, one of Nepal’s most prominent Gen Z leaders, broke down as he addressed the media in Kathmandu on Thursday.

The 36-year-old Sudan Gurung is the president of Hami Nepal, a youth-led NGO that has grown into a civic movement.

A wave of youth-led protests, branded the ‘Gen Z uprising,’ swept across Nepal on Monday, triggering violent clashes with security forces and culminating in the resignation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Thursday.
