US President Donald Trump heaped praise on his son Barron Trump for securing the youth vote, helping him become a hit among young voters.

As Trump highlighted his son’s contribution to his victory, the crowd inside the Capital One Arena in Washington erupted in cheers on Monday.

“I have a very tall son,” said Trump, introducing his youngest son Barron Trump to the crowd at the Presidential Inauguration parade event.

As Barron raised his hands in the air to acknowledge the cheering crowd, Trump further said, “He knew the youth vote. We won the youth vote by 36 points. He was saying – “Dad, you have to go out and do this one or that one”. We did a lot of them. He respects them all, he understood them very well.”

After keeping their youngest son hidden from spotlight for the past 4 years, the 18-year-old Barron shot to prominence after he helped his father formulate campaign plans throughout, helping him become a hit among young voters through targeted podcasts, according to reports.
